The Parable of the Sower (Luke 8: 5-15)
A farmer went out to plant seeds: and as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side; and people came by and walked on it, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
And some seeds fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, the hot sun came up and it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
And some seeds fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
But other seeds fell on good ground, and sprang up, and produce much fruit.
