Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in
His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He
created them. God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful
and multiply"
Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man leaves his
father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Genesis 19:4-5 But before they lay down,
the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people
to the last man, surrounded the house;and they called to Lot, "Where
are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, so that we
may know [have sex with] them"
Exodus
20:12 "Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may
be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit
adultery."
Leviticus 18:22 Man shall not lie with
a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a
man as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they
shall be put to death; their blood is upon them
Judges 19:22 While they were enjoying
themselves, the men of the city, a perverse lot, surrounded the house,
and started pounding on the door. They said to the old man, the master
of the house, "Bring out the man who came into your house, so that
we may have intercourse with him."
Malachi 2.14 You ask, "Why does
he not?" Because the LORD was a witness between you and the wife
of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion
and your wife by covenant.
Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that
I [Jesus] have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not
to abolish but to fulfill."
Mark 10:6-9 But from the beginning of
creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave
his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become
one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God
has joined together, let no one separate.
Romans 1:26-27 For this reason God gave
them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse
for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse
with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed
shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty
for their error.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Do you not know
that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived!
Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves,
the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit
the kingdom of God. And this is what some of you used to be. But you
were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 7:1-2 Now concerning the
matters about which you wrote: It is well for a man not to touch a woman.
But because of cases of sexual immorality, each man should have his own
wife and each woman her own husband.
2 Corinthians 11:2 I feel a divine jealousy
for you, for I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you
as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Ephesians 5:31-32 For this reason a
man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the
two will become one flesh. This is a great mystery, and I am applying
it to Christ and the church.
1 Timothy 1:9-10 This means understanding
that the law is laid down not for the innocent but for the lawless and
disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for
those who kill their father or mother, for murderers, fornicators, sodomites,
slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to the
sound teaching.
1 Timothy 3:2 Now a bishop must be above
reproach, married once [to one wife], temperate, sensible, respectable,
hospitable, an apt teacher,
1 Timothy 3:12 Let deacons be married
only once [to one wife], and let them manage their children and their
households well;
2 Peter 2:4-10 For if God did not spare
the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them
to chains of deepest darkness to be kept until the judgment, and if he
did not spare the ancient world, even though he saved Noah, a herald of
righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood on a world of
the ungodly; and if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes
he condemned them to extinction and made them an example of what is coming
to the ungodly;and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man greatly distressed
by the licentiousness of the lawless(for that righteous man, living among
them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by their lawless
deeds that he saw and heard),then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly
from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day
of judgment—especially those who indulge their flesh in depraved
lust, and who despise authority. Bold and willful, they are not afraid
to slander the glorious ones,
Jude 7 Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah
and the surrounding cities, which, in the same manner as they, indulged
in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural lust, serve as an example by
undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
Revelation
19:7 Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the
marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
