About St. James’ Episcopal Church
St. James’ Episcopal Church has been a place of worship, community, and spiritual growth in Hammondsport since the early 1800s. What began with the first Episcopal services in the region has grown into a vibrant parish rooted in tradition and committed to welcoming all who seek fellowship, prayer, and service.
Centered in the heart of the Finger Lakes, our historic stone church reflects generations of faith – from its consecration in 1895 to ongoing ministries that bring scripture, service, and joy to daily life. We are a community grounded in the love of Christ and dedicated to serving our neighbors with compassion.
