Sunday at 9A.M. - Hammondsport, NY
What to Expect on Sunday
Our Sunday worship follows the Episcopal tradition and includes scripture readings, prayer, music, and Holy Communion. Services are reverent, welcoming, and accessible whether you are familiar with the Episcopal Church or not.
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
New to the Episcopal Church?
If you’re unfamiliar with Episcopal worship, don’t worry — you’re not expected to know what to do or say. Our service bulletin will guide you through the service, and our congregation is always happy to help.
Did you know...
• We use the “red book” for the worship service and the “blue book” for hymns.
• Our music is mainly traditional but includes some contemporary music involving our historic organ, a piano and guitars.
• Midway through the service we pass the Peace to others. It can be a wave, a handshake, a hug, whatever an individual is comfortable with.
• We try to involve the children whenever possible. Typically they help Father Craig with the dismissal at the end of the service.
• Once a month, or more often if needed, we have a time of prayer and healing following the service. The priest blesses and anoints a person that requests prayers and any members of the congregation are welcome to stay and participate.
• Weekly children’s bulletins are available
• We have a nursery area downstairs for young children. However, children of all ages are welcome in the sanctuary during worship.
• We have a coffee hour every Sunday immediately following the service providing a time for refreshments and fellowship.
