5/3/2014 - - - Church Cleaning Day was held Saturday with many people turning out with buckets of Murphy oil soap, rags, vacuum sweepers and elbow grease to make the church look bright and sparkly - outdoor work was postponed to a later date due to rainy weather.
   
5/1/2014 - - - "Create a Wonderful Life Fun Run" - 5K Run/Walk is being planned for Saturday, May 31, by the Pregnancy Resouce Center of the Valleys in Mt. Morris, NY. Proceeds will benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center in Bath which is one of the local ministeries supported by St. James' Church.

11/19/2011 - - - APPLE PIE DAY 2011 - Working together, we made 212 apple pies and over $1,255 has been collected so far to be used for Missions. Apples were donated by Jeff and Kathy Kennedy. Remaining ingredients were donated by Walter and Linda Carl. An excellent volunteer workforce did the peeling, slicing, mixing, shell and top making, crimping, and packaging. A special thanks is given to Mary White who yearly organizes this project.

Special thanks to Nancy and Floyd French who made all the window arrangements and decorated all the wrought iron candle sticks ahead of time - and to Judy Robbins who made all the ribbons - and to Nick Forenz for climbing that ladder and hanging the garland from the peak of the arch. 12/7/2008 - - - Bishop Singh made his annual visit to St. James’ on December 7. During the service he consecrated the new Water Vat and Aspergillum and twelve linen Purificators in memory of Sandra M. Williams. Carol Battaglia and William Wilson were Confirmed, and Stephanie Wilson, Robert Battaglia, and Donella Barney were Received on that day. We presented Bishop Singh with Jerry Lange’s new book on the Windows of St. James’. Following the morning service, the Bishop joined us for brunch and conversation in the Undercroft - see pictures

11/22/2008 - - - Many members of St. James’ turned out for Apple Pie Day. The apples, donated by Jeff and Kathy Kennedy were washed, peeled and sliced by the kitchen crew. The assembly crew, headed by Mary White (Chair of the whole event) put together 220 pies, which netted a profit of $1540 to be used for missions. We owe sincere thanks to Snug Harbor who donated all the pie tins and to Mary and Bruce White who donated all the other ingredients. We also need to thank Mary, who sets this up every year, and everyone who worked for this wonderful mission project. - see pictures
